4.2 xAI Translation Service

We use xAI's API to generate translations and grammar explanations. Headlines you translate are sent to xAI for processing. These requests do not include personal identifying information.

4.3 Supabase

We use Supabase for caching news and translations. When account functionality is added, Supabase will also store user account data and saved vocabulary. Data is stored securely with encryption.

4.4 Auth0 (Future)

When authentication is enabled, we will use Auth0 for secure user login. Auth0 will handle authentication tokens and user credentials according to their privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

• News Headlines: Cached for 12 hours, then automatically refreshed
• Translations: Cached permanently but cleaned up after 30 days of inactivity
• User Accounts: (Future) Retained until account deletion is requested
• Vocabulary Data: (Future) Retained until user deletion or account closure

6. Cookies and Tracking

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
